Rides

Welcome to our cycling club for SCOV residents and a limited number of  Non-SCOV residents  We offer many scheduled rides, and if you are unsure where to start, we recommend that new members join a Green Ride or a neighborhood E WOW Ride as an introduction to the club and club riding.

Vistoso Cyclists Club ride levels are classified similar to a heat index, progressing from cool to hot.  The longer the rides are, the warmer it gets, right?
Green, Blue, Orange, Red, and A-E rides all have their primary ride planners, are defined below, and their common destinations are also listed.
Green, Blue and Orange rides are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  A-E WOW rides are scheduled for Tuesdays. Red rides are scheduled roughly once per month from fall to late spring.

Please note that for groups A & B dropping a rider is not desired, but it may be acceptable when a cyclist cannot sustain the average group pace.

This page is not intended for navigational use.  There could be half a dozen or more route variations for a single destination, and routes are changed up often for variety.
What this page should do very well however, is help new members become familiar with the Club’s ride destinations and ride levels.  Each destination has one GPS route example, with the destination flagged with a coffee cup point of interest marker.
